I haven't been avoiding writing. Lately my schedule has been quite exhausting and the few moments of tranquility that were available were in places where Internet access won't be available until long after the city embraces electricity and indoor plumbing.
My latest adventure is coming to a close and I've gained a new respect for the theater. Not a love, just respect. My performing friends have my love and admiration but I find the audience to be more than a little pretentious and rude. I'm happy to be heading home in a few days and I look forward to next month when I get back to proper touring with rock bands and crazed fans.
Home first.
In the last three days I have passed within 40 miles of home twice and our schedule didn't afford me an opportunity to stop and see my little one or my Missus. I don't normally get homesick, but this week I'm feeling it. In three days everything will right itself. I'll be home wrapping presents for my family to open shortly thereafter, sleeping in my own bed, and using my own toilet for a change. There will be copious amounts of daddy spoiling with Helen and hopefully some private naughty time with Mary Ann.
I was going to segue into a politics but thought better of it. I'm going to think of my wife and daughter instead of the inevitable implosion of our society at the hands of the lazy, uninformed, and unmotivated majority. Christmas is coming and I don't want to piss off Santa.
